Physical, Occupational & Speech Therapy Clinical Pathway

At CORALVITA, we know recovery isn’t only about survival — it’s about living fully again. Our Physical, Occupational & Speech Therapy Pathway provides patients with the therapies they need to regain mobility, rebuild daily living skills, and restore communication. Whether after critical illness, surgery, or neurological injury, our goal is to help patients recover function and confidence step by step.

Who This Pathway Is For

This pathway is ideal for patients who:

  • Have lost strength, mobility, or balance due to prolonged illness or hospitalization
  • Need help regaining independence in daily tasks like dressing, eating, or bathing
  • Are recovering speech or swallowing function after a neurological event or tracheostomy
  • Require a combination of therapies to achieve long-term recovery goals
  • Benefit from close coordination between therapists, physicians, and nursing staff

What You Can Expect

Physical Therapy (PT)
Our PT team focuses on rebuilding mobility, endurance, and strength. Patients may work on walking, transfers, balance, and exercise programs tailored to their abilities.

Occupational Therapy (OT)
OT helps patients regain independence in daily living. Therapy may focus on fine motor skills, self-care routines, adaptive equipment training, and strategies for energy conservation.

Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
Speech therapy addresses communication, cognition, and swallowing. Patients may receive support for speech clarity, language comprehension, safe swallowing, and strategies to rebuild memory and attention.

Individualized Programs
Every therapy plan is based on an initial evaluation and is tailored to each patient’s needs and goals. Progress is tracked closely, and therapies adjust as patients regain function.

Collaborative Care
Therapists work alongside physicians, nurses, dietitians, and case managers to ensure therapy integrates seamlessly with the patient’s broader recovery plan.

Outcomes We Aim For

  • Improved mobility, strength, and independence
  • Greater ability to perform daily activities safely and confidently
  • Restored speech and communication skills
  • Safer swallowing and nutrition management
  • Smoother transition from hospital to home or rehabilitation

If you or your loved one could benefit from physical, occupational, or speech therapy, our admissions team is ready to help. We’re available 24/7 to answer questions and guide you through the referral process.
