Overview

As a Respiratory Therapist at CORALVITA, you’ll deliver advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary needs, including ventilator management, tracheostomy care, and oxygen therapy. You’ll play a critical role in helping patients stabilize, wean from mechanical ventilation, and regain the ability to breathe more independently — all within a collaborative, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, monitor, and treat patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions
  • Manage ventilator settings and support ventilator weaning protocols
  • Provide airway management including tracheostomy care, suctioning, and oxygen therapy
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function testing
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation staff to optimize patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care practices and home management when appropriate

Qualifications

  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • Active state license in respiratory care
  • 1+ years of experience in ICU, LTACH, or acute care setting preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond to rapidly changing patient needs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
