Overview

As a Unit Secretary at CORALVITA, you will be the organizational backbone of the nursing unit, ensuring smooth communication, accurate documentation, and efficient coordination of patient care. By supporting nurses, physicians, and families, you’ll help create an environment where clinical teams can focus on what matters most — patient healing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming calls, messages, and visitor communication for the nursing unit
  • Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Coordinate scheduling for tests, therapies, and consultations
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers by handling clerical processes
  • Serve as a communication link between nurses, physicians, patients, and families
  • Ensure supplies, forms, and administrative needs of the unit are organized and accessible

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
  • Previous experience in healthcare administration or clerical support strongly preferred
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of EMR systems a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment
